A Zen-Like Approach To Winter Photography
This week's video is all about you! The concept is to inspire photographers to get out with their camera and have an experience by visiting your local State Parks and creating meaningful photographs.
We can't always be in epic National Parks, but that doesn't mean we can't find interesting subjects to shoot in local parks. It's about knowing when to go. Two of the biggest hurdles outdoor photographers face are low motivation and where to go—failing to recognize opportunities in locations closer to home. You've bought the gear and have a passion for photography, but you struggle with getting out of bed, and nothing is exciting to shoot around home anyway, right? Wrong.
I've put a lot of love into this video, from meticulous music choices to intimate winter scenery and audible environmental ambience - snow crunching underfoot, a running brook, a nearby train. While viewing, you may lose yourself in a Zen-like space, and that's a good thing. It's a direction I've considered moving the channel towards.
It takes on a silent walkthrough in a winter wonderland, a Zen-like approach. Giving the viewer the freedom to use their imagination - all within a small, ordinary State Park. The video ends with a bonus commentary covering storytelling while critiquing images. Watch Now: Zen Photography
Suggested Viewing: Brew a cup of herbal tea, quiet your mind, pop in earbuds, and enjoy the experience! Suggested Action: Charge your camera's batteries, pack your gear, and make the effort to get out for the morning.
Mark, Thank you for this wonderful video! I also really enjoy just getting out and exploring!
